We are all involved in projects, whether we are project managers, project team members or regular developers. If you work in the corporate world, you know how easily big projects can go wrong, but no more, in this article, I’m going to describe how I use ClickUp to organize my day effectively.

What is ClickUp

ClickUp is a powerful project management tool for teams and individuals alike. It integrates important business applications and centralizes company information into one online solution.

How I use ClickUp

There are many reasons why I use ClickUp in my daily life; However, I will highlight some of them in this article.

The spaces break down your workspaces into different departments, teams, groups, high-level initiatives, or really anything you want to group high-level.

For example, if you create a work environment for managing your social media presence, you can use Spaces to organize your Facebook post, Twitter tweets, posting jobs on LinkedIn, etc.

The second level in the ClickUp hierarchy is Spaces, which allows you to customize anything. Typically, this is the ClickUp hierarchy

ClickUp ✨
    └── Workspaces
        └── Space
            └── Folder
                └── List
                    └── Tasks

This is the feature I use to organize my blog post and Twitter threads / tweets. Each task can have status, priority and many other things. You can also add a sub-task to each task.

This is where I draft my article and write my tweets / threads. It has a WYSIWYG – Markdown editor. I use this tool every day to formulate my article and after some review, I will publish it in Hashnode.

You can also publish your wiki / doc directly from ClickUp and it will give you a link to share. Pretty cool lol …

To be honest, this feature is very useful when you are writing a wiki based on some of Figma’s designs, you can just switch to a different tab from ClickUp itself. Not just Figma but also any HTML code / URL you need to embed it.

Mind map

The simplest method to plan, organize and illustrate your thoughts and ideas is to use mind mapping. And I’m sure you’ve seen mind maps at some point in your life.

A mind map is a hierarchical graphic centered on a single idea. It arranges data in a non-linear way, which makes it easier to see and understand each subject.

In the example below, I used the mind mapping feature to organize them.

Click Apps

Last but not least, ClickApps allow you to customize your personal / team experience in any work environment. You have tons of third-party apps that you can integrate with ClickUp
