introduction
Metamask is a popular browser plugin developed in ConsenSys Used as an Ethereum wallet. It allows users to store Ether tokens and other ERC-20 tokens while allowing them to send funds to any Ethereum address. Because many networks are not included by default in Metamask, this article will guide you through the process of adding them to your Metamask wallet.
We will add Polygon (Matic Network) in this guide, but the methods are similar for different networks.
Level 1
The first step is to open your web browser and go to the Metamask plugin and then to the Network tab (on the left side of your profile). Here you will see the entire list of networks available by default in Metamask
level2
Click “Add Network” to enter information such as network name, RPC address and chain ID; However, you need to make sure the information is correct.
A malicious network provider can lie about the status of the blockchain and record your network activity. Only add custom networks that you trust.
Since we are adding a polygon, here is the information on this network
Step 3
If all goes well, the Polygon network name and logo should appear on your Metamask wallet.
